The Time Bandits
We're not the toughest gang. Or the coolest. Or the most dangerous, or the bravest or the most coordinated. We're not the brightest, or the best at negotiating or coming to a consensus about who gets to say "let's go." We're certainly not the best at stealth or hiding or stealing things or any gang-related activities whatsoever. But we're still a gang.

The Time Bandits are a group of thieves traveling throughout time and space using a map stolen from the Supreme Being. Though they claim to be expert thieves, they actually find themselves lacking both critical skills and knowledge.
Penelope is the leader of the group, though often claims that they all share leadership and are an "egalitarian collective." Kevin Haddock ends up becoming entangled with the Time Bandits when they arrive inside his bedroom, his wardrobe containing one of the many portals throughout time and space.
The Time Bandits once worked for the Supreme Being but escaped him, feeling that they were being mistreated. According to Damon, an undercover agent for Pure Evil, they were a "rogue faction of the flora department." The Time Bandits are later copied by another group of former agents of the Supreme Being, who feel that the Time Bandits have misused the Map and that they can do better. They succeed in stealing the Map out from under the Time Bandits' noses, intending to use it for their own purposes.
